Our Director has first-hand experience of how these Brokers and Suppliers operate, and was appalled at discovering just how wide-spread the issue of Mis-selling is.

The Business Energy Market is largely un-regulated. OFGEM, the governing regulatory body, do regulate the Suppliers Licence conditions, and they have agreed to set up a Dispute Resolution Team and will introduce a 14 Day Cooling Off Period for Micro-businesses, but this is NOT good enough in our view. This does NOT address the Hidden Commissions built into YOUR contracts, and we have to do something about it.

Paul Sissons worked for one of UK’s largest Business Energy Brokers, his first deal had a net profit of £750k, very quickly he broke records and earned the accolade of “rising star”.

Paul soon realised that what he was trained to do is immoral, deceptive, unethical and illegal, energy brokers were working in conjunction with the Energy Suppliers to hide commission, he resigned, refused all commissions and started investigating the Energy Market looking for a way to change the industry for the better.

The Broker he worked for responded by taking him to the High Court to prevent him from setting up his Company, Paul won, they offered him a significant amount to not pursue them for Mis-sold Business Energy Claims, he refused.

After consultation with Solicitors, Barristers, Judges, Regulatory Authority, Financial Conduct Authority, Ofgem, Information Commissioners Office, Brokers, Suppliers, British Businesses and the Serious Fraud Office he obtained QC Opinions on the merits of taking these cases to court to recover monies for UK Business that had been affected by the failure of Energy Brokers’ Fiduciary Duties, QC opinion confirmed these are the strongest cases the Legal Profession have seen for decades, rated at 70+% (The best you can get).

Paul ran test cases against various suppliers, 100% settled out of court at a rate of 84.5%, plus compound interest and legal fees before founding 123 Reclaim Limited to assist businesses with their energy claims.
